IBS Treatment in Perth With Hypnotherapy

Lady holding tummyIrritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common conditions with 10-15% people in the developed world affected by it. Whilst it is not 100% clear what exactly causes IBS, one thing that is clear is that hypnotherapy can provide valuable assistance helping treat the varying symptoms from this condition. There have been many scientific studies showcasing this and the results my clients have experienced with my own treatment methods further reinforce this. If you have IBS and have tried other treatments methods without resolve I do strongly recommend giving hypnotherapy a go.

How can hypnotherapy help?

IBS is caused by and associated with many emotional issues that affect the gut system through the mind-body connection. Hypnotherapy allows us to go straight to the source of these issues and address them. We can restore balance to the mind and body and create new more positive ways of doing things and how we handle emotional imbalance. Hypnotherapy can also be used to provide positive reinforcement to change your dietary habits to steer clear of foods that trigger IBS.

Because the causes of IBS are varied and many, I like to have a chat with my clients first so I know exactly what is triggering your condition and then customise your hypnosis sessions accordingly. By taking a targeted approach we can delve deeper to target the issues directly rather than just providing a 'blanket' approach. Hypnotherapy can also give you new ways of dealing with the side-effects from IBS such as pain, anxiety, sleeping issues etc. helping make your life more comfortable.

The effects of stress & emotional imbalance

What happens in the mind has such a big effect physically when it comes to IBS. Things like stress, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue etc. are all closely associated symptoms and causes. Often the occurrence of IBS is simply a symptom of other emotional imbalances and therefore these must be first addressed to provide an ongoing solution for successful treatment. Through hypnosis you will experience a deeply relaxed state where subconsciously you are more receptive to making change through suggestion. My job as a hypnotherapist is to help you move beyond any issues that may be affecting your IBS as well as treating the symptoms of the condition itself. Doing this you can expect
